Social service nonprofits often excel at responding to urgent crises, but struggle with developing strong management practices required to reduce these crises and create a strategic response.
New managers may find themselves in "sink or swim" situations where they are constantly in "reaction" mode. They are rarely able to provide the consistent, proactive management that encourages a stable and sustainable culture.
And, while many great management trainings exist, few respond to the unique challenges of managing in a client-service context. Effective management looks different when responding to urgent safety issues like suicidal clients, EMS calls, and mandated reports.
I offer specialized workshops that address these specific clinical management issues.
